In the right light. Photolyases utilize light energy to repair DNA lesions. The crystallographic and functional characterization of a thermostable photolyase now shows that the light‐harvesting antenna chromophores of these enzymes can be exchanged, thus opening the first route for fine‐tuning their activity spectra.
