On December 13th, the FWO announced the results of this year’s applications for Junior and Senior Research Projects. ORGC is honored to be the recipient of funding for a Senior Research Project entitled “Passepartout: G protein Peptidomimetics as generic keys to allosterically unlock the superfamily of GPCRs”.
This research will delve further into a “hot topic” within ORGC, for which our research has already been published in high-impact journals and for which Prof. Ballet has been the recipient of an awards for Excellence in Molecular Design. This project will start in 2024 and will look at the development – and subsequent application – of peptidomimetics of the Gi protein.
